Is the quote generator free?
Yes. You can create and download PDF quotes for free.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price for the work described, so once the customer accepts it, that is normally what they pay. An estimate is your best guess and can change. If parts of the job are uncertain, say so in the note, for example "price assumes no rot behind the tiles".
What makes a quote easy to say yes to?
A clear list of what is included, a total with VAT shown if you charge it, and a date the price is valid until.
Can I turn a quote into an invoice?
Yes. Once the job is agreed, you can turn the quote into an invoice with the same customer and items, so you don't need to type them again.
Does it remember my details?
Only if you ask it to. Tick "Remember my business details" or press "Save this customer" and those details are kept on this device. If you are signed in to a free OneLuton account, they are saved to your account instead and follow you across your devices, along with your document history. The document number also moves on by one each time you download, so the next one is ready.
Do I need an account?
